To coincide with his limited edition gatefold vinyl of his debut album,'Record', Dylan Tighe returns to Cork to play a gig at the Half Moon Theatre. Released earlier his year Dylan launched himself onto the music scene with a series of 10 performances at the Cork Midsummer Festival and this unique live show featured actors and musicians and will tour to the Dublin Theatre Festival in October. 'Record' is an accomplished debut that rallies a collection of songs that fuse indelible melodies and philosophical lyrics with a voice of timeless power and was produced by Jimmy Eadie who has also produced music by Jape and David Kitt. The songs are delivered with radical honesty which are sprung from Dylan's personal history of mental health diagnoses, treatment and experience. The 10 songs of 'Record' transform doomed love, mental torment, failure and disappointment into hymns to comfort the soul. Dylan Tighe plays the Half Moon Theatre on Sunday 14 October at 9.30pm and tickets are available from The Cork Opera House or visit www.corkoperahouse.ie for bookings and information.
