A post mortem has indicated that there was no foul play involved in the death of a woman on the northside.
The body of the woman was discovered in a house near St Lukes in Cork city on Wednesday night.
A post mortem examination was conducted at Cork University Hospital by Dr Margaret Bolster, the assistant state pathologist and the results indicate that there was no foul play involved, according to gardaí sources.
The body of the woman was discovered at the bottom of the stairs in a house at Clifden Terrace, Summerhill North.
Gardaí in Mayfield said that the woman, who was aged in her 40s, was found dead at around 9.30pm Wednesday night.
