What to wear, for the ghoul who has it all

It's that time of year when things go bump in the night and people embrace Halloween by dressing up in scary costumes and generally celebrating this ghostly night on 31 October. While it is seen as mainly a children's event, more and more adults are getting into the spirit of things and finding any excuse to dress up, put on some ghastly make up and generally let their hair down. Here are five easy costume ideas.

1. A new idea for this year is to dress up as 'Bane', the evil character from the 'The Dark Knight Rises'. All you need is a jumpsuit, belts, gauntlets and the unforgettable mask along with a pair of combat trousers. To make the piece more realistic you can add on a voice changer to wear underneath your mask.

2. Why not go as Father Jack from the 'Father Ted' television series? All you need is a priest's collar, a old jacket, flat cap and some fake teeth and then just be foulmouthed and have a crazed stare on your face.

3.A simple idea is go as 'Stig' from the 'Top Gear' television series. All you need is a jump suit and a motorcycle helmet and no one will recognize you.

4.Zombies are the rage these days and its easy to do. Just get some old clothes, rip them up a bit and using some creative make up, fake blood and hairspray, you will have the perfect zombie look.

5.If you're familiar with the band LMFAO, then their robot character, Shufflebot is an easy thing to dress up as. All you need is a cardboard box.You cut out a rectangle for your face and paint eyes on top of the box. You can add plastic ears to the box and add some flashy tracksuits and you're good to shuffle.
