The latest outlet on Cork's vintage scene is set to open in Cornmarket Street this weekend. Brocade & Lime, 'an inspired clothing boutique and beauty salon', opens at 4 Cornmarket Street with an exclusive launch party on Saturday including a 1940s Doo-Wop trio of singers.
Keep an eye out for a vintage car convoy transporting 25 vintage-styled ladies around the city centre on Saturday; it should be quite a show.
The store will exclusively stock labels such as Orla Kiely, Aftermath, Poppy, Stop Staring, Mrs Pomeranz and Eva Franco as well as genuine vintage items and is located in a Victorian townhouse. According to owner Emma Ahern, the store will bring shopping 'to a new enjoyment level'.
It also plays home to Cork's first vintage-style hair and beauty salon, where you can be styled like your favourite old-school starlet, which is decorated in lime green and overlooks a courtyard behind the boutique.
See www.brocadeandlime.ie or search for Brocade & Lime on Facebook for more information.
