Drum roll please, we have a winner! After weeks of waiting and over 1,000 entries Scott O'Sullivan was chosen as the lucky winner of the Cork Independent iPad competition. The competition, which was sponsored by Stream Solutions, offered Cork Independent fans the chance to win an iPad simply by guessing what day of the week the newspaper comes out, through the Cork Independent Facebook page.
Scott, who is 19 and from Douglas, was thrilled to find out that he was randomly chosen from hundreds to take the big prize.
"I am absolutely delighted, I actually can't believe it. I've never won anything so to win an iPad makes up for that. I'm a student so I definitely could not have afforded an iPad on my own so to win one is great.
"I study social science in UCC so it will be great for taking notes with and things like that and I'll probably watch a bit of television on it as well. I actually can't believe it!", he said.
Stream Solutions, who sponsored the competition, are Ireland's Apple experts and are leading the way with the use of the iPad for education and the learning revolution. They have also been involved in creating tailored Mac solutions and IT strategies for their B2B and creative professional market.
As well as entering the iPad competition, hundred also signed up for the brand new Cork Independent B2C newsletter which is being launched in the coming weeks and will give Cork Independent readers the chance to avail of different coupons and offers.
