The First Music Contact (FMC) tour featuring three of Ireland's finest bands touches down in the Pavilion on Friday 2 November as part of their nationwide tour. Featuring Squarehead, The Lost Brothers and We Cut Corners and a specially selected opening act, this annual three band bash is a great opportunity to catch some quality homegrown music.
FMC work with artists at all levels both at home and on the international stage through their various projects and the central aspect of the tour is to give Irish audiences access to the best of Irish talent in a combination lineup and at a very reasonable price. The opening slot for the Pavilion gig will go to an artist selected by FMC, the Pavilion and a national and local media judge.
Having released their debut album 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards' to much acclaim last year, We Cut Corners have the ability to write short sharp songs on drums and guitar and their live shows are certainly epic.
Fresh from touring the States recently, Squarehead play jangly guitar based songs with perfect pop melodies. The Lost Brothers have only just recently their album 'The Passing of The Night' and had the pleasure of recording it in Brendan Benson's Nashville Studio.
Tickets for the FMC Tour are €10 and are available at the Pavilion.
