Cork’s Film and TV Industry

Upon hearing the news that two new Film and TV production studios are to open in Cork with plans to promote the county as a prime production location to the international film world, I decided now would be quite a fitting time to write about the Cork Film and TV industry.

Most people will know that Cork has always been popular with indie film making, and the every so often big productions that choose to take advantage of our beautiful county. Now it looks set to be a key game player in the Irish Film Industry.

So in each blog I will give you some insights to what is going on, what’s being made, who’s making it and introduce you to some of the people who are responsible for this. And for those of you thinking about getting into the industry I’m sure there will be some helpful tips as you make your mark on the world stage via our very own hub of production here in Cork.
