  • Cork buildings need energy upgrades

    New research has shown that over 12,000 buildings in Cork require an upgrade every year. The research, conducted by the Sustainable Energy for the Rural Village Environment (SERVE) project, based in Tipperary, confirmed that 12,500 Cork buildings and 90,000 buildings nationally will have to undergo energy upgrades every year until 2020 to meet European obligations under the Energy Efficiency directive.
