Ballindenisk bonus to be won

There will be €50,000 to be won over the next three internationals at Ballindenisk in Co Cork, if the same rider and horse combination wins the CIC3 at either the September or April international and then goes on to win the CCI3 at the September 2013 international horse trials.

Martin Donohoe of Goresbridge Horse Sales, sponsor of February’s Ballindenisk International Horse Trials - where Ireland clinched the vital points that earned five places at the London Olympics – said: “This will be a very exciting bonus for eventing as it will bring the top riders to Ballindenisk to win this large purse and Goresbridge Go For Gold is thrilled to be involved.”

A large contingent of riders is expected to attend to try and clinch this prize, but the Irish, who have a very good record at Ballindenisk, will do their best to keep the money from travelling.

Britian’s Oliver Townend, winner of the Goresbridge Go For Gold CCI3 in February, said; “I will definitely be there, it’s a great step forward for eventing in Europe”

The Ballindenisk International Horse Trials are being held on 12-16 September 2012, with the date of the April 2013 international yet to be confirmed.
