Dowtcha boy! Barry's Tea, tripe and drisheen and Christy Ring are quintessential symbols of Cork. For over 30 years Cha and Miah have been too, but soon they will be seen no longer.

The duo will perform for the last time over the next few weeks. The ‘boys’ have now decided to hang up their caps, but before they do there will be one last hurrah. Michael Twomey and Frank Duggan will perform ‘The Cha and Miah Farewell Laughter show’ at The Everyman from Wednesday 11 July.

Cha and Miah achieved prominence on ‘Hall's Pictorial Weekly’, which ran on RTÉ from 1971 to 1980. The satirical show featured Cha and Miah, seated on a park bench on the Marina, discussing the pertinent matters of the day in broad Corkese.

Special guests include vocalist Lorraine Manley, Jim Queally and virtuoso accordionist Aidan Ring for nights of laughter and music at The Everyman this July.

‘The Cha and Miah Farewell Laughter show’ is at The Everyman, from Wednesday 11 to Saturday 21 July at 8pm (excluding Sunday 15). Tickets are €25, €20. Opening night is €15 and students are €7 from Monday to Wednesday.

From the Wimbledon finals to the hangman’s noose, ‘Love All’ also at The Everyman, is the true and terrible tale of Irish sporting legend Vere St Ledger Goold and his mercenary wife, Marie Violet. A whopping great hangover kept Goold from the Wimbledon prize, while a head in a hatbox almost sent him to the gallows. A comedy about love, murder and tennis, ‘Love All’ opens at The Everyman on Wednesday 4 July and runs until Saturday 7 July.

‘Love All’ is at The Everyman, Wednesday 4 July and runs until Saturday 7 July. Tickets are €16 and €12. Booking is online at www.everymanpalace.com or at the box office on 021-4501673.
