Fatal crash at Glengarriff

A woman in her 70s was killed in a road collision last night at Glengarriff.

The two vehicle crash occurred at 7.30pm in Dromgarriff, Glengarriff with the female driver and sole occupant of one of the cars fatally injured. The other driver, a man in his 50s, was uninjured. No names have been released as of yet. 

Diversions have been put in place since last night and remain in place while the Garda Forensic squad examines the scene.

Diversions are causing delays to heavy goods vehicles while AA Roadwatch have advised that diversions are in place via Kenmare and via the Borlin Valley through to Kilgarvan.
