An afternoon of vintage chic will take place in The Ambassador Hotel, Military Hill on Sunday 19 August from 2-6pm. All proceeds raised from this event will go to the Cork Childline Unit.

The afternoon will be packed full of fun and laughter for lovers of all things vintage. A mouth-watering afternoon tea with all the trimmings will be served up in vintage china tea-cups to all quests.

A fashion show will take place showcasing quality vintage fashions from leading Cork vintage emporiums. Also DJ Gary Baus and Swing Out Cork will be on hand to provide the entertainment for the day. For those who would like to shop, there will be a variety of vintage themed stalls with various products and crafts for sale.

Childline is the only 24 hour listening service for children in Ireland yet receives no government funding. In 2011 Childline received over 600,000 calls, texts and emails from some of Ireland's most vulnerable children. The Cork Office of Childline has 50 active volunteers who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of the young children who contact them.

Tickets for this event are priced at €20 and must be purchased in advance. They are available from The Ambassador Hotel, Miss Daisy Blue in the English Market or by contacting Marta Kolasa on marta.kolasa83@yahoo.com.
