Lower Aghada Tennis Club is once again hosting the East Cork Senior Open Tennis Championships, which this year runs from 18-25 August.

This year’s tournament, sponsored by Unilever (HB), will see players from all over Cork and beyond compete in Mens, Ladies and Mixed Doubles competitions. The Senior Open is the first senior tournament to be played on Lower Aghada’s newly resurfaced courts one to four. The laying of the new ‘Tiger Turf’ courts was completed in late March, an exciting project for the club which saw the existing courts replaced after twenty very good years of play, and now sees the club with the best surface available on the market today.

The popular tournament, held annually at the East Cork club, caters for Grades one right through to six, and the closing date for entries is Sunday 12 August. Entry forms are available from the club house, by calling 021-4661200, or emailing admin@loweraghadatennis.ie. You can also enter online at http://ti.tournamentsoftware.com/.
