Festive fun in Midleton
The annual Midleton Food & Drink Festival takes place on 8 September and along with their new sponsor, Jameson, they will play host to some of the country's finest artisan producers. As well as culinary delights there will also be a variety of street performance artists, craft exhibitions, a fashion show and a range of children's activities.
"This year's festival will have something for everyone, whether you are a keen food enthusiast or simply looking for a good day out. With over 60 stalls to choose from, including the famous Ballymaloe Country Relish, Sage Restaurant and Marco's Pizza, taste buds will be tantalised and appetites will be satisfied, " said Tim O' Sullivan, Festival Co-ordinator.
There will also be a fantastic line up of food and drink demonstrations where you will be able to taste a little something from the masters. Bord Bia, Ballycotton Seafood, Ballyvolane House, The Granary Foodstore and O' Donovan Wines are just some of the food producers that will be there on the day to entertain and inspire. The Jameson Cocktail Competition promises to be fantastic end to the day as bar tenders from far and wide battle it out at the Jameson Experience and the audience will be treated to a master class in cocktail making as they unwind.
