It could be the battle of all battles as WAG Jessica Lawlor from Cobh takes on model Roz Purcell in the latest series of 'Celebrity Bainisteoir - The Rivals'. Jessica, girlfriend of Premier League soccer player Stephen Ireland will take charge of Ballinora GAA club as they take on the might of Roz Purcell's Newton Cashel GAA Club from Longford.

The new series of 'Celebrity Bainisteoir-The Rivals' returns to RTÉ One tonight and this time things are a little bit harder for the pampered celebrities. This year will see each celebrity paired against a rival celebrity from their own world.

It will be 'X-Factor' versus 'The Voice' as singer Mary Byrne takes on Richie Hayes and the battle of UK reality TV as celebrity traveller and 'Big Brother' winner Paddy Doherty takes on celebrity everything Calum Best. It will also be a Mr. and Mrs. celebrity death match as married couple Brian Ormond and Pippa O' Connor go to war on the football pitch.

The new series also brings with it a new twist as this year the losing bainisteoir will then have to become the winning bainsiteoir's assistant as they progress to the semi-finals. Charged with cleaning the team's boots, taking an extra training session or whatever task the winning bainisteoir chooses for their new assistant, gentle humiliation will be the order of the day as the slagging rights on this one are all to play for.

This year they are also putting the battle for home advantage clearly on the shoulders of the celebrities and it will be entirely up to each of them to win this all important honour for their club through a series of unique celeb v celeb challenges.

This year also sees the return of 'Celebrity Bainisteoir' alumni Mairead Farrell who will be taking on the presenting duties and GAA legends Ciaran Whelan and Liam Kearns will keeping a watchful eye over proceedings. The series begins tonight with the eight celebrities gathered together for a day long GAA bootcamp with GAA legend Michael O' Muircheartaigh and Jessica Lawlor will also meet her new club and get the reaction from the Ballinora players.

The Ballinora team will be in action on Sunday 7 October in the fourth quarter final of the series which begins at 6.30pm on RTÉ One.
