The new Renault Clio 4 made its debut in Paris. It is the first new Renault to feature company’s new design identity. Also unveiled was the new Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo – and the new Clio 4 Estate.

There are three new engines. The New Renault R-Link connectivity system linking car and the connected world (and R-Link Store) was also introduced and will be available depending on market.

A new Renault Bass Reflex sound system was also rolled out.

The new Clio, says Renault, is the first production model to give full expression to the "Renault design renaissance inspired by Laurens van den Acker. The promise was to take the style and emotion of the brand’s concept cars and carry them over to production models. New Clio fulfils that pledge."

The Renault logo is now more vertical and set against a black background. Renault Clio offers innovation in the supermini class with:

*A new three-cylinder turbocharged TCe 90 Stop & Start petrol engine returning  65.7 mpg and 99 g / km CO2

*Diesel  powerplants: the dCi 90 with Stop & Start boasts NEDC-homologated fuel consumption of 88.3 mpg and emits just 83 g /km of CO2.

*Two brand-new petrol engines mated to Renault EDC transmission (Efficient Dual Clutch) due in 2013, namely the Renault TCe 120 EDC in top-of-the-range versions and the new 1.6 Turbo Renaultsport 200 which will power New Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo.

The combination of EDC dual-clutch transmission with these downsized engines, Renault says, delivers both driving enjoyment and energy efficiency for low fuel consumption.

Renault will gradually roll out the EDC range with a dCi 90 version.
