Sandra Murphy, the restaurant owner and manager of the family business in Glounthaune, prides herself on running a successful Irish business. She joined forces with her parents in 2005 and bought the Rising Tide Bar and Restaurant. She says she has always achieved and excelled in any target that she has set out to accomplish. Since the family took over the Rising Tide, the business has gone from strength to strength, winning awards such as 'Best Pub with Food 2009' from Hospitality Ireland.

The award winning business has also secured recommendations from Georgina Campbell, Lucinda O'Sullivan and Paulo Tullio.

Sandra is also a member of 'Good Food Ireland' and is dedicated to using only Irish produce. All of these products are sourced from within a 60-mile radius of the Rising Tide Bar and Restaurant.

Sandra’s most recent achievement is that she is a candidate on this year’s Apprentice on TV3.
