Today in Camden Palace, a mini-body painting shoot took place for some of Cork's Bodypainting artists and models to meet and have one last catch up and practice before the event on 28 July.

More details will be on TV3's News at 5.30 today.

Cork Bodypainting are hoping to beat the world record for the 'Most Bodies painted,' in Camden Palace Hotel on the morning of Saturday 28 July. Later that afternoon, is the World Naked Bike Ride so some of the models will take part in the bike ride on the day.

Dee Murphy from Rearour in Cork has never been body painted before and she said, "the whole morning was so much fun, the atmosphere was electric and I loved my art that was created by Niamh Leonard."

Keira O'Connell, one of the organisers said, "luckily the sun was shining today so the ballroom in Camden Palace was warm and the models had some fun messing about. It really is just a fun day to get creative, meet new people and have a totally new and exciting experience. A lot of women who mail to register question what shape and size do they need to be to participate and I find that so depressing, we want all shapes all sizes and we just want people to enjoy the day."

Cork Bodypainting is a non profit organisation so all donations of bodypaint are welcome on the day of the world record. Cork Art Supplies and Moonshine in the city are giving discounts to those taking part on the day.
