Man dies in crash at Newtwopothouse

A man has died following a traffic collision this morning in North Cork. The fatal traffic collision took place at Newtwopothouse this morning at 7am when the car that the deceased male was driving collided with a rigid truck on the N20.
The name and age of the driver have yet to be released while the driver of the truck was uninjured. 
Gardaí, ambulance services and local fire services attended and the male was prounounced dead at the scene. The area is currently preserved and garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the crash site while local traffic diversions are expected to remain in place for the day.
The local coroner has also been notified of the incident.
