Wonderful weddings at Fota

It will take place on Sunday 6 October and will present every possible service and suggestion for your special day.

The finest florists, wedding planners, bakers, jewellers, videographers and entertainers will gather together to showcase their top services designed to create the perfect wedding day, including Baker Boy Cakes and Broken Spoon, florists Flower Power and Wonderous Weddings, jeweller Aoife O'Mahony, wine merchants Enoi Wine, Studio Plus videographers, wedding planners To Have and To Hold, Butler’s Ice Cream, along with magician Gerard Kearney and music from Emiliano Terra who will provide entertainment throughout the day.

With new plans afoot at Fota Island Resort, couples planning their wedding from 2020 onwards will enjoy a new Smith-Barry Suite as plans are in place for a full refurbishment of the ballroom beginning at the start of next year, with celebrity interior designer Hugh Wallace leading the new design. Wallace, a regular judge on RTÉ’s 'Home of the Year', has an exciting vision for the suite which will focus on maximising the natural light in the space, while also adding a signature touch of his flamboyant design flair.

Newly engaged couples are also are invited to view The Clubhouse at Fota Island Resort, an option for both wedding ceremonies and day-two celebrations. Fota Island Hotel & Spa’s bedrooms, deluxe suites and bridal suite will all be available to view.

To meet the expert wedding team and hear more about Hugh Wallace’s vision for the Smith-Barry Suite, brides and grooms-to-be should stop by Fota Island Resort on Sunday from 12-5pm.
