Teamwork duo win November award

Teamwork founders Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey have been named as Cork Persons of the Month for November. The award was given to the duo to mark their contribution to business growth in Cork.

Teamwork provides a suite of business management products helping companies to increase their overall efficiency. Currently, with over €20 million in sales, Teamwork is one of Cork’s largest technology firms with new clients including Disney, Netflix, PayPal, eBay and Spotify.

The company employs over 200 people in the Cork, with headquarters in Blackpool, and six offices around the world servicing more than 24,000 clients.

As well as creating employment opportunities within the technology sector in Cork, Mr Coppinger and Mr Mackey promote Cork as a centre for business in Ireland. The pair also founded escapetocork.ie, a website to highlight how appealing Cork is, both for people seeking work opportunities, as well as for companies looking to invest in Ireland.

Speaking about their recent award, Mr Coppinger said: “Having watched a lot of our friends leave Cork in search of employment when we were up and coming developers, its vitally important to us that opportunities are available in Cork for people who wish to pursue a career in this sector.

“Teamwork has allowed us to provide these opportunities and the diverse talent pool that Cork provides continues to impress us.”
