Video plea from frontline workers

Some frontline workers have come together urging their communities to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

The workers from Cork and Kerry have issued a heart-felt video plea to their communities to continue to keep their guard up in order to stop the spread of Covid-19.

In the new video launched on Tuesday, the frontline workers remind everyone of what communities have achieved already by working together.

The video, an interagency project between An Garda Síochána, the HSE, Cork City Council, Cork County Council and Kerry Council, features frontline workers from all the agencies explaining what they miss during Covid-19 restrictions.

The video is being shared on the social media platforms of all the agencies involved.

All have been working for and with their communities throughout the Covid-19 emergency. The video features Ruth O’Brien, a staff nurse from CUH; Cliona Carroll, a speech and language therapist; Fiona Leahy of the Cork County Council Community Call Helpline; Tralee-based community garda Aidan O’Mahony; Jonathan Finn of Cork City Fire Service and Aaron Williams of Kerry Civil Defence.

The video can be viewed on the Cork Kerry Community Healthcare YouTube page.
