All eyes on March
Mother's Day 2021 feels more important than ever. Whether your mom is juggling work and home schooling, or you simply haven't given her a hug in months due to current travel restrictions and keeping each other safe, GiftedfromIreland.com knows mom deserves a special treat this year.
I’ve mentioned this website before, but it is just honestly such a handy website to go to when it comes to buying a special gift and I think that’s due to the fact that it carries over 200 Irish brands so no matter who you are shopping for you can find something here.
Some of my top picks which would make perfect Mother’s Day gifts are the ‘My Name is Ted’ leather cross-body bags which are stunning and are that perfectly practical style of bag that everyone needs in their wardrobe. Jewellery wise I love the simple and elegant Garrett Mallon Jewellery and then also Sandia’s funky sustainably made necklaces which are such statement pieces and would be perfect worn with simple outfits or worn with bright pattern to create a cool clash.
There’s also Moon & Mellow’s 2021 pyjama collection which make a beautiful gift and I’ve really appreciated beautiful pjs a lot more this past twelve months having spent most of my time living in them during our first lockdown.
GiftedfromIreland.com covers everything from fashion and beauty to interiors so there is plenty of choice to spoil mom, and maybe yourself too, this Mother’s Day.
Now, as well as hosting Mother’s Day, March also happens to be my birthday month. As this will be my second lockdown birthday, I have decided I really deserve a major treat for myself this year. I always love to mark an occasion with a piece of jewellery and especially so if it’s that little bit different, so I always head to blondethestore.com for such an occasion. Maeve the owner has some really cool jewellery labels many of which are stocked exclusively by her in Ireland. The pieces are that little bit different and the prices are extremely affordable.
Blondethestore.com has just launched Amsterdam-based jewellery and clothing brand T.I.T.S into the Irish market. T.I.T.S - short for ‘This is The Sh*t’ - was launched in 2015 by two female entrepreneurs, Mathilde Kamphuis and Nathalie Zoeteweij.
Focusing on jewellery made by sourcing sustainable materials and production, blondethestore.com stocks their famous sh*t gold studs and sh*t/tits Swarovski crystal huggies, as well as the stunning body pendant.
The concept and motto behind the brand is all about girl power and inclusivity: “As our name illustrates, we aim to break sexist taboos. Think nipples, loud opinions and other so- called ‘unladylike’ things. We do so with a flirtatious wink, empowering everyone else who defies the norms, to express themselves candidly,” say the girls.
It’s a brand for those with a cheeky sense of humour for sure but the pieces also look really beautiful.
As well as being the only Irish stockists of T.I.T.S, the website also stocks one of my favourites, Swedish brand Et Toi. It will be growing its selection of jewellery online in 2021 as well as adding an exciting and eclectic homeware section to the site in the coming months. If you’re looking for some fun jewellery then I highly recommend a peak at this website.
