Shine bright like a diamond
Now it’s no secret that I adore a little bit of bling. Some might say a lot of bling and I would not disagree with them
While my absolute go to for jewellery is gold and often while layering my pieces and wondering if I’ve gone overboard, I do find myself asking ‘what would Mr T do?’ and then I add another layer just for good measure.
Every now and then I do find myself wanting to add some diamonds into the mix and my first port of call is always Diamond Buyers Club for beautiful, brilliant and of course affordable pieces.
Shirley who owns Diamond Buyers Club is a Cork woman and an absolute gem with an amazing eye and great taste in diamonds who has made an incredible business from simulated diamonds.
All their pieces of jewellery are manufactured using the same technology as pieces with real diamonds would be and are either mounted on stainless steel or sterling silver. I have a few pieces myself and the quality is seriously good.
None of my pieces have tarnished and I wear them daily including the Savanna which is a baguette and brilliant cut simulated diamond band that I wear on my middle finger with another gold band that I have. More is more as always.
I also bought some cool ear cuffs from the J Brand collection and they look much more expensive than the twenty odd euro they cost me.
This week Shirley has launched Diamond Buyers’ first gift box set comprising of three bestselling pieces from the brilliant cut collection.
The set includes the ultimate stud earring in a classic four prong, the original floating diamond in silver and the elegant and brilliant cut tennis bracelet complete with complementary travel pouch.
What I love about the set is how versatile it is, each of the pieces are such classics that you can just wear them separately as your everyday jewellery or you could even wear them all together and you are still adding some subtle glam to your look.
I also love how the super stylish Shin Hayes, who is the brand ambassador for the label, styles her pieces with a classic black tuxedo jacket.
I think this versatility makes them such a good gift because no matter your style, these pieces just work for everyone and how you style them is up to you. I personally love layering the diamond pieces with my own collection of gold and vintage jewellery and just having that little pop of bling in there.
Probably my favourite piece is the classic tennis bracelet and I always remember my granny wearing one of these so it’s just totally timeless but can be given a modern feel when worn next to a chunky gold watch.
I also love styling diamonds with simple looks, so I’d wear them with a classic stripe Breton tee, straight leg jeans and a pair of espadrilles in the summer. Outfit heaven!
All Diamond Buyers’ stones are cut to reflect just like a real diamond but without the exuberant price tag which of course is a bonus and if you fancy treating yourself or a pal you can use our special code of NC20 to get 20 per cent off the set which normally costs €80.
These are fabulous pieces that will add a bit of sparkle to your look!
