Training biz the key
Whether you’re about to start a small business of your own, or your new venture is already up and running, education and training are crucial tools for success in an ever-changing, always competitive economy.
Today, customers come in more shapes and sizes than ever before and thanks to modern technology, they can be located almost anywhere, depending on the nature of your business.
The same can be said for competitors. If the pandemic has proved anything, it’s that modern businesses can be extremely versatile and reactive when they need to be. All of this means that any new business will need to be extra careful and informed when positioning themselves and their products in the market
Then you need to think about your business structure, production requirements, investment, funding, suppliers, legal obligations, and much, much more. It’s a lot to take in, but luckily there is plenty of support and education here on Leeside to get you taking those crucial first steps in no time. Through training, education and funding, Cork’s Local Enterprise Offices (LEO) are there to ensure the continued growth and success of micro enterprises in the city and county.
As well as providing direct financial assistance to qualifying businesses, one of LEO Cork City’s primary roles is to mentor and train small-scale enterprises as they look to establish themselves. For example, this coming Tuesday, LEO Cork City is hosting an online business advice clinic where attendees will receive an hour of one-to-one business advice at no cost.
On 9 September, a digital strategy and planning workshop via Zoom offering a step-by-step walkthrough on how to create, implement and analyse an effective digital strategy for a small business getting started with digital marketing.
For just €10, you will be provided with the skills, tools and knowledge to be able to develop a robust and integrated digital marketing strategy. These are just two examples of the kind of training support offered by LEO Cork City. Others include areas such as costing and pricing your products or services, starting your own business, and getting started with Instagram.
These online training events take place regularly but be warned, they do fill up fast.
