Woman violently assaulted in Cork city
Gardaí have this afternoon said they are following a definite line of enquiry into an assault on a woman which took place over the weekend.
Gardaí have confirmed to the Cork Independent that they are investigating a violent assault that occurred on Evergreen Street, Cork city, at around 11.30pm on Saturday 29 January.
A woman in her 20s was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “No arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation however gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.”
