Taking the queasy way out

An embarrassed Cork road user has taken to Reddit to apologise for “projectile vomiting” on the car traveling behind them.

The car was driving along the airport road from Ballygarvan when the Redditor, who goes by the name not_laura, became unwell in the passenger seat. According to not_laura, the queasiness was not caused by alcohol or pregnancy, rather a bad reaction to some new medication, made worse by winding roads.

The post on Cork’s Reddit page r/cork read: “If you are the car that was driving the airport road from Ballygarvan, and the car ahead projectile vomited out the passenger window… I’m sorry.

“I am incredibly embarrassed. It’s not self-inflicted - I’m not drunk or hungover or pregnant. I took a new medication that doesn’t agree with me, and the twisty roads made it worse. You were too close behind to safely stop, there was nowhere to pull in, no bags in the car, and there was no other option.”

In a bid to make things right, not_laura urged whoever was in the car behind them to make contact.

“If it’s you (or if you hear it from a friend), DM me and I’ll happily cover the cost of a car wash. For my shame will never be washed away,” they wrote.
