Busy months ahead for bidding platform
The arrival of the new year has brought renewed positivity and enthusiasm to the Irish housing market according to an online auction specialist.
Auction and bidding platform Iamsold is expecting some busy months ahead following a flurry of sales in its first online auction of 2023.
The platform, which is used by over 300 auctioneers across Ireland, is encouraging vendors thinking of selling to contact them to arrange a free property valuation.
Iamsold Director Patrick Convey said: “The final quarter of 2022 was extremally busy for us, with a high number of sales and increasing stock levels compared to earlier in the year. January has seen further increases in activity with enquiry levels up 45% on December. We are continuing to see the number of properties coming to market increase, with our stock levels currently up 30% on this time last year, boding well for a busy period ahead.”
The online auction company is now taking entries for its upcoming auction dates scheduled for 9 March and 20 April.
Some recent sales include 2 Glenside, Off Barrack Street, Cappoquin, Waterford, sold by Radley Auctioneers, Dungarvan. This 3 bedroom townhouse, in the heart of Cappoquin village sold for €248,500.
Another sale was by West Property Group, Newcastle West, via the Iamsold online bidding platform. It was a spacious, 2 bedroom, second floor apartment in Market Court, Newcastle West, Limerick.
