You can’t beat good fried chicken, can you?

New to Cork, having opened recently in Ballincollig, we took a trip to see what ChicKing was like. Their menu consists of breaded, fried and grilled chicken dishes, wraps, sandwiches, and Mexican-style variants. Food styles also include authentic American, Indian, Italian and Filipino.

The new ChicKing restaurant is in Castlewest Shopping Centre, and is a dine in or takeaway restaurant that’s new to Cork but a worldwide franchise founded in Dubai in 2000. They boast 256 outlets across 35 countries with just two in Ireland.

We arrived to be greeted by friendly staff. It’s a lovely restaurant that features a very on-trend look. My hardest decision was to make a choice from a menu with many options to choose from to suit all ages. Of course they also have lower calorie options for people wanting some healthier options.

I went for some rebel chicken wings firstly, which did not disappoint. These chicken wings are up there with the best I’ve eaten, from presentation, to texture and the flavour of sauce left you wanting more - simply delicious and so fresh!

The tandoori chicken burger was my choice for main and again arrived so fresh and cooked with care. The flavours and sauces used in ChicKing ingredients are so appetizing and leave you wanting to return and tell your family and friends about this restaurant.

It’s a place that left me with a really good impression from start to finish. We felt safe knowing our food was cooked to perfection with great ingredients and skill, even though it’s a fast food restaurant the food is cooked so well.

Everything about our experience at ChicKing was excellent; the restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated with super friendly staff, and in my view, the other people that surrounded us were very impressed with the service and food too.

It goes without saying that we will be back to visit and to sample more beautifully prepared food.

ChicKing are definitely worth a good review and we would recommend you go find this out for yourselves.
