Say I dough to Domino’s
If you’re a pizza fan looking for a job, we’ve great news for you! Domino’s is holding a recruitment open day in Cork city, as part of its major recruitment drive nationwide.
As the busy festive season approaches, Domino’s three stores in Cork aim to scout over 30 team players across its Leeside stores in Douglas, Blackpool and its latest addition, Wilton. New stores are coming soon too.
Budding delivery drivers, in-store team members, assistant managers, managers and pizza makers are invited to the Maldron Hotel, South Mall on Thursday 21 September, from 12 noon to 7pm, to join the Domino’s family.
Domino’s representatives will guide walk-in, one-on-one interviews for all roles, both part-time and full-time. This recruitment event is the second of its kind for Domino’s Cork following a successful event in 2022, resulting in 30 roles being filled.
A range of flexible roles are on offer, which may be suited to those looking for additional employment opportunities or to fit around study or family life. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of the hard-working teams.
As one of Ireland’s top employers, Domino’s first-class store operations ensure all team members are trained in customer service and food quality as well as on the job training for specific roles including pizza chefs.
A recent poll carried out by Domino’s amongst existing staff members found that 77% love being part of a great team, over 55% value the flexibility their role with Domino’s gives them, and 78% cite training and promotion opportunities as key advantages of working for Domino’s. Unsurprisingly, over 80% cite pizza as the thing they love about working for Domino’s.
Domino’s offers flexibility, with plenty of evening and weekend shift work available to fit around busy schedules, but also rewards and recognition, on-the-job training, promotion opportunities, and a fun and friendly culture to work in.
Experience is not essential, as managers provide training for all levels and there are lots of interesting opportunities for those looking for long term career development. 90% of store managers started out as a team member.
Cathal McDonnell, Domino’s Pizza Cork Franchisee said: “As our crew prepares for the fast-approaching festive peak, we are proud to offer a wide range of roles across our stores in Cork to help keep the ship afloat during this busy period. We encourage candidates of all ages and experience levels to drop into our open day to get a feel for being part of the world-class pizza squad.”
