Cork singer songwriter Cian Ducrot is set to play his first major hometown show this summer and it should be very special.
Ducrot will play before a big crowd in Musgrave Park on Friday 28 June 2024. Tickets will go on sale this Friday 6 October at 10am from €49.90 including booking fees.
Following the success of his debut album ‘Victory’ the singer announced that he will be playing two outdoor shows next summer.
The Cork man will play in St Annes Park, Dublin on Friday 7 June followed by a hometown show in Musgrave Park on Friday 28 June. He will also play the Sea Sessions in Donegal on 22 June. Cian excelled at music at young age and learned to play the piano, classical guitar, saxophone, percussion, drums, violin and the flute.
At the age of nine, the Cork musician studied at London’s Royal Academy of Music, where he juggled between his classical music training and his desire to make pop music.
After attending a songwriting camp in Los Angeles, Cian decided to pursue his desire to make pop music and continued writing songs and posting on social media.
The deciding factor between the two music worlds was the ability that a pop artist has to connect with their audience, which remains a big aspect of Cian’s artistry to this day.
Before his big break, Cian often found himself borrowing money, sofa surfing, busking and taking on random jobs to fund writing trips to London and LA. The Corkman’s first breakthrough on TikTok resulted in his debtut EP ‘Make Believe’ and his career as a pop singer songwriter took off with his hit songs ‘I’ll Be Waiting’ and ‘All For You’ completing his journey from pub gigs in Cork to the upper reaches of the charts. Cian is becoming a popular collaborator, having featured on Libiancas ‘People’ remix as well as being invited to co-write with SZA in Los Angeles.
