A Kinsale chef is to bring a taste of India and Cork to Kerry next week.
The Brehon Hotel in Killarney will be visited by Meeran Manzoo of Rare Kinsale for a special event.
Chef Manzoo will team up with executive chef Chad Byrne on Thursday 9 November for the second part of their Chef Swap series at the Danú Restaurant.
The event starts at 7.30pm at the renowned Danú Restaurant in The Brechin Hotel.
Both chefs are passionate about supporting local suppliers and will showcase ingredients sourced from Cork and Kerry.
Throughout a five-course tasting menu, the chefs will blend the traditional flavours of Chennai, India with the finest artisanal Irish ingredients.
“We’re really excited for this chef swap initiative,” said Chef Chad Byrne, “and this evening is the perfect idea for artisan lovers and even smaller Christmas parties. We aim to provide our guests with a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, combining the richness of Indian and Irish flavours.”
Executive chef Chad Byrne at The Brehon Hotel is celebrated for his relentless pursuit of culinary excellence.
Byrne's style has been described as “no holds barred” and he finds inspiration from local ingredients and artisan producers.
Chef Meeran Manzoo is renowned for his deep understanding of Cork's culinary scene, and his close relationships with the region's producers and fishermen.
By combining the flavours of Kinsale with the ingenuity of its native India, Manzoo creates a flavour combination that is both innovative and delicious.
The collaborative evening promise to be both unique and interactive for one night only.
