Mixing delicate romanticism with dynamic glamour
This is your warning to set your alarms for tomorrow, 7 March.
This is when H&M launch their Limited Edition SS24 collection because, oh my word, this season the style is super special. I have not been this excited about a high street collection in quite some time and I have already compiled a list of pieces that even though they are quite dressy I would certainly be wearing these looks for years to come.
I actually missed out on a few pieces for last summer’s Limited Edition collection and it still haunts me. So, the moral of the sartorial story is, if you love it, you know you’ll get loads of wear out of it and you can afford it then get it. This particular collection takes inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, and this can be seen in the print, colours and silhouette of the pieces. With spring and summer celebrations such as weddings about to kickstart this is the perfect collection and offers beautiful clothes at an affordable price point.
From clothing to accessories H&M invokes the splendours of land and sea with a collection that takes inspiration from floral gardens to the wonderous aquatic depths. Mixing delicate romanticism with dynamic glamour, the collection offers a mix of occasion wear and elevated everyday pieces.
One of the central themes looks at florals in bloom and this can be seen in the dramatic floral prints and billowing kaftans. Theres also plenty of ruffles, scalloped edges and 3D flowers which have a soft femininity.
Some standout pieces for me are a coral coloured kaftan which would look sensational paired with gold sandals and layered chunky bangles. It’s perfect for hot summer nights or for a wedding abroad and is super glamorous.
I also have seen a dreamy, flowy dress with a large printed flower motif that looks so comfortable to wear and needs little to no styling bar a simple sandal. Make the look more dramatic with some earrings but really it requires very little in the way of accessories.
Of course, I am always attracted to a co-ord set and this collection features and beautiful mint/sage green pyjama style two piece that would look great styled for any summer occasion or even a bohemian wedding bash.
If you’re getting married this summer, I would strongly urge you to take a look at some of these pieces as there’s a stunning white dress and a loosely tailored white suit that would make for a truly epic, glam hen party look. I would even go as far as saying that the suit would make an amazing bridal look on a budget with a dramatic floral chocker from the collection tied round the neck.
The accessories are also pretty spectacular and if you’re looking to add some statement gold pieces to your jewellery collection then I would pay particular attention to the gold cuffs and statement earrings that evoke coral reefs and underwater sea life.
There are also some beautiful handbags including a gold shell clutch that will see you through any occasion and would be perfect with any of the flowy pieces in the collection and a white beaded number that is quite simple a joy to behold.
Now all we need are some summer party invites!
