A haven of hospitality

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Oysterhaven Bay lies a sanctuary of serenity and indulgence: the Kinsale Hotel and Spa. Recently, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in its refined ambiance, courtesy of a mid-week sojourn.

Having frequented this establishment on numerous occasions for afternoon teas, Sunday lunches, and the occasional overnight stay, I was no stranger to its allure. However, this recent visit, following a series of meticulous renovations, unveiled a new chapter in its story.

Stepping into the revamped guest rooms, one is immediately struck by a sense of contemporary elegance and comfort. The decor, blending modernity with warmth, creates an inviting atmosphere. From the sleek furnishings to the thoughtful amenities such as well-lit dressing tables, every detail has been curated to enhance comfort and convenience.

During my stay, I encountered a diverse array of fellow guests, from families seeking respite to solo travellers embarking on their own adventures.

Of course, no visit to the Kinsale Hotel and Spa would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. The Rockpool Bar and Restaurant, a culinary gem overlooking the bay, offers a symphony of flavours that tantalise the taste buds. From the mouth watering garlic pizza bread to the sumptuous burgers and vegetarian pizzas, each dish is a testament to culinary craftsmanship. Paired with a stellar wine list and great service from the staff, dining here is an experience to savour.

After a satisfying meal, the bar beckons with its convivial atmosphere and plush sofas — an inviting retreat where guests can unwind with a post-dinner gin and tonic. The other guests all seemed to be relishing the atmosphere.

The views overlooking the bay are truly breathtaking and in good weather, you can indulge in breakfast with a sea view.
