Australian comedian Steve Hughes brings his new show to Cork this weekend.

Steve says g'day, Cork!

Get ready to throw another shrimp on the barbie in an effort to satisfy Cork’s insatiable appetite for top drawer comedy.

Described as being (amongst other things) insightful, intelligent, provocative, and profound, Australian funny man Steve Hughes has seen and done it all, and now he’s bringing his brand-new show ‘Tough Love’ to Leeside.

The award-winning comedian/thrash metal drummer/actor plays the City Limits Comedy Club on Coburg Street this Saturday evening.

Hughes, a native of Sydney, is known for his unique blend of clever and on-point observational humour that has left audiences in stitches all around the world, making him one of the most sought-after comedians on the global scene.

Critics can't get enough of him either, with the Metro giving him a 5 star review and The Guardian calling his comedy “outstanding” and “spot on”.

Totally unafraid to tackle even the toughest topics, Hughes’ new show sees him continue on his path as a prophet of the times, shining a light on the absurdity of the world and bringing laughter in the face of adversity.

Steve Hughes plays the City Limits Comedy Club on Saturday 15 June.

Tickets cost €22.50 and are available from thecomedyclub.ie.

Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm.
