Irish label in Ibiza fashion mix

A fashion festival in Ibiza sounds pretty idyllic and when sun, sea and fashion combine it really does make for a sartorial dream situation.

Ibiza Fashion Festival 2024 is Ibiza's only 100% sustainable fashion event. Since 2015, Ibiza Fashion Festival has been a celebration of sustainable fashion on the White Isle of Ibiza. This year, this charity fashion event raised awareness and donations for One Pure Sea and featured luxury sustainable and eco-friendly beachwear, resort wear, fashion, footwear, jewellery, and accessories from a selection of international brands.

The fashion show event was held on an evening at the start of the month under the warm Ibiza sunshine, attended by more than 200 guests at 528 Ibiza, Ibiza's newest event destination. 528 Ibiza is a breathtaking destination offering multiple indoor and outdoor spaces inspired by the natural beauty and positive energy of the island.

While I unfortunately was not at the festival, I did spot an Irish label in the fashion mix. Noema James an Irish label with a Mallorcan twist that’s handmade in Ireland featured on the runway at the festival and it’s easy to see how they were the perfect label to show here.

Noema James takes a less is more approach to everyday dressing and living which is perfect for that summer in Ibiza lifestyle. The brand advocate for the adaptability of a garment to serve each individual woman and not the other way around and this is so evident in the chic and easy to wear collections. Each woman has the freedom to express her own style and essence in these timeless, stylish pieces. The looks are high-quality and yet also effortless and smart.

These are wardrobe essentials that you can easily style for work or play. The collections are developed in Ireland, and today, the brand offers ready-to-wear pieces and accessories for every moment of your life.

As designer Noema said: “We work with premium fabrics and only employ the highest quality craftsmanship for the conscious woman with individual style who favours an effortless, refined look. Noema began with simple linen dresses designed in our founder’s home but quickly became a Mallorcan lifestyle brand. The name reflects the brand’s ethos; the ideal essence of the character. From start to finish, every Noema product is carefully considered and constructed with precision. An effortless look, made with care in every step.”

I also had a catch up with the girls at the weekend and we went to the Come Alive event by Irish sustainable clothing brand Human Collective held at the Marina Market. It was lovely to not only hang out with friends but also to do a bit of salsa dancing courtesy of Rosanna Davison and her Dancing with the Stars partner Stephen Vincent.

I was totally out of my comfort zone as I definitely have two left feet but it was great fun and I just ended up freestyling my own dance moves. I once did a zumba class and was so tragically bad I was sent over to my own space in the corner so I truly am sorry to anyone who was dancing near me on Saturday and may have been stood on!

There were also some great speakers including Georgie Crawford and Dr Monica Peres and I left feeling inspired and energised for the week ahead.
