The 17th Ted’s Opel Vauxhall Run takes place in Cork on 10 Augus

Run for the hills of Ballyvourney

Opel/Vauxhall drivers across Ireland are gearing up for a special motorsport event in county Cork next month.

The 17th Ted’s Opel Vauxhall Run takes place on 10 August, starting at The Mills Inn in Ballyvourney.

The run will follow a scenic route which takes in some of the Lee Valley's beautiful sights along with a number of historic motorsport sections and former rally stages.

The route goes through Ballyvourney, Farnanes, Coachford, Dripsey, Model Village, Berrings, Donoghmore, Rylane, and Millstreet before returning to the Mills Inn for a BBQ and prizegiving.

All Opel/Vauxhall/Bedford/GM vehicles are welcome to attend regardless of the vehicle’s age.

Once again, the popular event will be held in association with the Dogs For the Disabled charity.

“The difference that these dogs make to some people’s lives is unmeasurable and they need all the funding they can get,” a spokesperson for the event said.

The 17th Ted’s Opel Vauxhall Run is supported by Opel Ireland, Cartell.ie, and Casey Caravan Services.
