Make a style statement
If the weather is not going to play ball, then I am going to use any opportunity to add some sunshine to my outfits and the new luxury handbag collection by Irish brand byReidin is an absolute joy to behold.
If dopamine dressing is your vibe then this collection of four rainbow metallic handbags are the perfect pieces to add to your accessory collection.
The Beau Bag is made from real Italian leather and designed in Ireland. The bag is oversized and beautifully squidgy with a detachable bow that makes a style statement and is the It bag of the season.
Whether you favour orange, pink, silver or gold you just cannot go wrong adding some metallic to any outfit. If in doubt about how to accessories, I always now think something metallic will save the day as they just go with everything and also makes your styling look top tier.
Keep it simple with a neutral block colour outfit and let the bag be the standout piece or if you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to create a bright colour clash and experiment with some different colour combinations.
Metallic orange and pink, metallic pink and green the possibilities are endless.
In other news I took a wander around town this week as I hadn’t been in the shops in ages. I have really felt this summer like I haven’t bothered buying anything as I’ve barely worn any of my own summer clothes.
I’ve just added a couple of basic pieces to my wardrobe like t-shirts and some shorts. The shorts have been worn a grand total of once so I am looking towards the new season and seeing what’s coming through for early autumn!
One thing I am very happy to see will be continuing into AW24 is my beloved leopard print. It’s without doubt my favourite print and is just so very versatile. I have spotted a few items I would like to add to my wardrobe the first being a leopard print suit from River Island. Sounds a bit much maybe but the cut is fantastic and it’s the sort of thing you’ll wear for years to come as you may have guessed by now that leopard is in fact an all year round print.
I also saw a leopard print shirt dress from H&M that will work perfectly with sandals and straw bags for now but will also work so well with a leather jacket and ankle boots come the autumn. It’s even the sort of dress that would work perfectly for workwear.
I’m also happy to report that after a summer of neutrals there is some colour bursting back on the fashion scene. Nothing too crazy at this stage just some earthy tones in swirl colours but it’s a welcome shift from the creams, beiges and taupes that have been everywhere.
Of course, I had set my sights on a matching pyjama style co-ord in green until I realized I have in fact two other sets that are very similar.
There also seems to be some beautiful prints hitting the shops in colourful, abstract swirls in everything from fluid fabric dresses to more body con pieces that are perfect for autumn occasions. Buy the dress and the event will find you!
