Get it to go at the Oriel
A prominent business in Ballincollig has launched a new 2GoCup initiative aimed at improving sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
This initiative by the Oriel House Hotel aims to reduce the consumption of single-use cups by offering a reusable and eco-friendly alternative to guests and visitors.
In partnership with 2GoCup, the Hotel is introducing a reusable cup scheme that encourages guests to make a simple yet impactful choice when enjoying hot beverages. By participating in the 2GoCup programme, guests can enjoy their drinks in high-quality reusable cups that are both stylish and sustainable.
Guests can purchase a 2GoCup from the hotel at a nominal cost. The cup can be used for all takeaway hot beverages at the hotel, as well as at participating 2GoCup locations across the country. Guests have the option to keep the cup for future use or return it to the hotel in exchange for a refund of the initial deposit. Returned cups are then sanitized and put back into circulation.
“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable practices within our community, alongside our support of Ballincollig Tidy Towns,” said Janice McConnell, General Manager of Oriel House Hotel.
“As a hotel, we are deeply committed to sustainability, and this program is a simple yet effective way for us and our guests to make a positive impact on the environment. We believe that small changes, like opting for a reusable cup, can lead to significant environmental benefits.”
