Crime on business meeting agenda

An upcoming event on Leeside will discuss effective measures businesses can take to tackle certain security and crime issues.

The Cork Business Association (CBA) event will also address common challenges facing urban areas and introduce new CBA-led initiatives aimed at enhancing the city's vibrancy and safety.

Speakers at the event will include Inspector James Hallahan, Tony O’Sullivan, Senior Executive Engineer on Cork City Council’s Cleansing team, and Jamie Furey, Area Manager with Lodge Security Services.

Earlier this year, CBA established a Safe and Clean working group with business owners to lobby and develop initiatives and measures to ensure the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in Cork city. On 1 October, the inaugural CBA Safe and Clean event will take place at the Clayton Hotel Cork City. During this event, the CBA will launch its new Safe & Clean Strategy.

Aaron Mansworth, President of Cork Business Association, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet committee members, key stakeholders who can make a difference, and fellow local business owners.

“Together, we will discuss concerns, exchange ideas, and work towards creating a more welcoming environment for everyone in Cork city.”
