Calling all curious minds

Explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) at a free event in Cork city this weekend.

Science at the Marina is a one-day event at the Marina Market on Saturday 16 November from 11am to 4pm for Science Week. It’s aimed at families and curious minds of all ages and is packed with hands-on discovery and excitement.

From the mysteries of the human microbiome to groundbreaking advances in artificial intelligence, light engineering, virtual reality, and sustainable food and agriculture, there’s something for everyone to explore.

“We want to bridge the gap between the public and the scientific community,” said Eimear Ferguson, Science Communication and Engagement officer at Teagasc and lead on the event, “and showcase the incredible research taking place right here in Cork. It’s about making science approachable, engaging, and fun for everyone.”
