City unveil new home and away jerseys

City’s new home shirt for 2025 has been unveiled and it couldn’t get anymore Cork.

Cork City FC has launched the 2025 home shirt which has been designed and manufactured by the club itself. It’s a first for Rebel Army Clothing, the club’s new in-house brand. The jersey takes inspiration from Cork city’s Norse and Viking history and there is a faint pattern on the body of the shirt taken from the drawings of that era.

Owner of Cork City FC Dermot Usher said: “We are always excited about the launch of our new jersey but this year has the added bonus of being designed and manufactured by our own in-house team.

“Rebel Army Clothing has been producing superb products since it launched this year and we are exceptionally proud to say that the club is now able to make its own jersey. We’re also delighted to confirm that the jerseys are €15 cheaper than last year, another plus for City fans.”

The white shirt features a woven club badge, with an embroidered outline, and displays the Zeus Packaging logo on the front. There is a green and red vertical line running down the front of the jersey which also has a green and red trim around the neckline.

Meanwhile, the away jersey has also been unveiled and it’s in collaboration with Cork band The Frank and Walters.

The orange shirt, which pays homage to the band’s iconic stage outfits, was unveiled at the club’s 40th anniversary and end-of-season dinner over the weekend.

The Franks entertained the gathering by playing some of their most popular hits while wearing the new jersey.

The 2025 away shirt was also designed in Cork and manufactured by Rebel Army Clothing.

It features the words ‘After All’ on the sleeve cuffs, a nod to one of Leeside’s most-loved songs and one that is often heard ringing out around Turner’s Cross. It also features the name of the band on the back of the shirt.

Mr Usher added: “The Frank and Walters are one of Cork’s best-loved bands and it’s been really exciting for us to work with them on the new away kit.

“Having the 2025 jerseys produced by Rebel Army Clothing is a positive venture for the club and also benefits the fans as they can be sold at a lower price than before.

“We are looking forward to more products produced by our in-house brand over the coming weeks and months,” he concluded.

The 2025 home and home jerseys are available from the Cork City FC shop in Douglas and online. Prices are €60 for adult and youth sizes while kid sizes are €50.

Further exclusive clothing brands by Rebel Army Clothing will be introduced next year.
