Robbery on Summerhill North

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with a robbery at knifepoint on the northside of Cork city this week.
The robbery took place at a retail premises in Summerhill North, just after midday on Tuesday, when a man entered the shop and threatened staff members with a knife, before fleeing with a sum of cash.
In the aftermath of the incident, detective gardaí from Watercourse Road Garda Station in Blackpool made an arrest, subsequently detaining the man under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
According to a statement, he was then charged and held in a Cork city garda station before appearing in front of Cork District Court yesterday, 20 November.
