Man, 50s, found dead in Cork city
A garda investigation is underway following the discovery of the body of a man in his 50s in a Cork city residence.
Sources indicate that foul play has been ruled out of the investigation as gardaí await the findings of a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at approximately 1am on Sunday morning at a residential property on Dominic Street.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were removed to CUH where the post-mortem examination will be conducted.
Gardaí said the scene of the incident has been preserved and investigations are ongoing.
