The art of living explored!
Talk about a colour collaboration!
EZ Living Interiors has kicked off a new year with the launch of the Studio Italia Collection, commissioning Irish-Filipino illustrator Czacarri to make artwork in response to the event.
It’s the latest in a series of collaborations for the leading retailer, with Sofa Workshop x Hugh Wallace launched in 2024. This time it’s a venture into the art world to connect contemporary Italian inspired furniture design with visual artistry.
Czacarri, a third year art student at the National College of Art & Design said: “My brief was to explore the art of living for EZ Living Interiors, with narratives which I hope will make people feel calm, cozy, fuzzy, poetic, warm and sleepy. It was super cool to be invited to do this.”
Already with an impressive portfolio of illustrative work, the artist’s response comprised a whimsical interpretation of a living room, complete with furniture and objects found in homes universally.
Laura O’Keeffe, EZ Living Interiors marketing manager, said: “We gave Czacarri creative licence to respond to the concept of the art of living. The finished artwork is a beautiful, meaningful interpretation.”
The Studio Italia Collection is highly functional and durable, in styles, colours and scales to best support comfortable contemporary living.
The Bottega 3-Seater sofa in pine green with buttoned upholstery makes it as attractive from the back as the front to suit an open-plan living area with plenty of circulation space (€1,199).
Rafael is an L-shape sofa offering multiple seats with two having recliner capabilities (€2,699). A low back gives it a pared back aesthetic and enhances visual flow in a space.
The Ariana 3-Seater Power Recliner sofa in a rich burnt sienna gives a nod to curvilinear forms with modern conveniences like an electric recliner mechanism, a reclining headrest and usb ports for convenient device charging (€1,799). Ariana’s cosy comfort was also the inspiration for Czacarri’s illustration.
