Progressive LOI football club creates new community position

A forward-thinking Cork football club has announced a new role that will help to engage it more deeply within its community.

Cobh Ramblers FC has appointed Trevor Cummins as Community Liaison – Football & Social Responsibility (FSR) Advisor.

In this role, Trevor will lead the club’s football & social responsibility (FSR) and community engagement strategies, working closely with local organizations, schools, charities, and businesses to deepen the club’s connection within Cobh.

Trevor’s extensive experience in outreach, partnership development, and sports advocacy will allow him to drive meaningful initiatives that align with the club’s mission and values. Drawing on over 20 years of experience gained across multi-sport settings, Trevor will play a key role in developing educational programs, promoting football, physical activity and healthy lifestyles, ensuring that Cobh Ramblers continues to be a club that represents and supports its fans, stakeholders, and the wider community.

He will also work alongside the marketing and communications team to highlight community achievements and expand the club’s reach.

Speaking on his appointment, Trevor Cummins said: “Cobh Ramblers FC has a long-standing history as a community-driven club, and I am excited to help build on that legacy. My goal is to create impactful programs that strengthen our ties with local organizations, schools, and supporters while promoting inclusivity, engagement, and shared success.”
