Cork’s top businesswomen are being urged to apply for an exciting award.
Network Ireland’s Businesswoman of the Year Awards are now open to Cork’s strongest businesswomen who display excellent leadership, innovation and talent.
There are 8 awards up for grabs on the night, meaning every woman will get the chance to shine in their field. It doesn’t matter if you run your own company, operate in a corporate role or in STEM, there’s something for everyone who takes part in the awards.
Cathy Fitzgibbon, President of Network Ireland Cork said: “We encourage our inspiring members to seize the opportunity to apply for our Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2025. This is your chance to showcase your achievements and celebrate the positive impact you've made within your field. Don’t miss the opportunity to be recognised among Cork’s outstanding businesswomen.”
She added that applying isn’t just about being celebrated, but it’s a chance to reflect on your own journey and raise your local and national status profile. Past applicants have experienced excellent media coverage, and have often regarded the process as a moment of transformation in their business journeys.
Diane Higgins, Vice President of Network Ireland Cork and this year’s Awards Coordinator added: "Every year, the Business Woman of the Year Awards remind us of the incredible strength, creativity, and resilience within our network. As this year’s Awards Coordinator, I’m honoured to help celebrate the heart and soul that goes into every application — stories of courage, passion, and determination that deserve to be recognised. These awards are a tribute to the journeys, the ambition and the unwavering drive of women lifting each other up and leading the way for the next generation.”
The winners of the awards will be chosen by panel of business experts, and successful candidates will be revealed at the Gala Awards Ceremony on Thursday 22 May at the Radisson Hotel & Spa, Cork. Winners will also get the chance to represent the Cork branch at the National Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards later this year.
Applications close on 17 April and can be submitted online at networkireland.ie/page/Businesswoman_of_the_Year_Awards.
