Meet up at Cork Convention Bureau today

Today Cork Convention Bureau (CBC) will host its yearly business events showcase to help showcase Cork as the ideal meeting place for corporate events.
Keep Cork Meeting was designed to help show off Cork’s potential for hosting conferences and meetings by exhibiting hotels, venues, activity providers, accommodation options and event companies. Now in its 11th year, this year will feature over 40 exhibitors at Páirc Uí Chaoimh today, Thursday 10 April.
One of the highlights of the event is the Conference Ambassador Clinic which encourages more bids for international meetings and conferences.
They offer advice to participants considering bringing major corporate events to Cork and explain practical and financial supports available through Cork Convention Bureau and Fáilte Ireland.
The Cork business events sector is looking at another successful year, with bids for conferences that could bring in 3,900 delegates to the city between 2026 and 2027. These events could amount to up to €5.7 million towards the local economy.
Evelyn O’Sullivan, Manager of Cork Convention Bureau said: “The business tourist contributes three times more to the local economy than the leisure tourist, and many are now extending their stays by two to four days, which presents a huge growth opportunity.
“We are here to support anyone looking to bring a conference to Cork with expert advice and practical assistance. Our goal is to inspire local companies to think of Cork first when planning their next corporate event,” Ms O’Sullivan added.
Keep Cork Meeting will run from 7.30 am to 11.30am. A buffet breakfast, networking opportunities, and prizes will all be offered to participants.
