Jennifer Zamparelli is set to join the ‘Rocky Horror Show’ as The Narrator.

Actress, presenter and broadcaster Jennifer Zamparelli has said she can’t wait to bring her own twist to the role of The Narrator when the famous ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ rolls into town later this year.

Jennifer Zamparelli is set to join singing superstar Jason Donovan and the exceptional cast in Richard O’Brien’s ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ as The Narrator this August at Cork Opera House, it was announced this week.

The TV and radio star, known for her razor-sharp wit and infectious energy on ‘Dancing with the Stars Ireland’, will also bring her unstoppable energy Cork’s Opera House from 25-30 August starring alongside Adam Strong.

Best known for her work on RTÉ’s ‘Republic of Telly’, hidden camera show ‘The Fear’, she also co-created and starred in the award-winning sitcom ‘Bridget & Eamon’. Having previously wowed in ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, she’s no stranger to musical theatre and now, she’s ready to don her fishnets and bring laughs, thrills and time-warping fun to audiences across Ireland.

I can’t wait to bring my own twist to the role of The Narrator and Time Warp with audiences across Ireland - it’s going to be a wild ride!”

The musical tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky clean college kids who meet Dr Frank’n’Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house whilst on their way to visit their favourite college professor. It’s an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks and frivolity, bursting with timeless songs and outrageous outfits. ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ is a wild party, which famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music while encouraging audience participation - meaning, of course, getting dressed-up in the most outrageous fancy dress.

The smash hit show features all the famous musical numbers which have made ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ such a huge hit for 50 years and counting, including ‘Sweet Transvestite’, ‘Science Fiction/Double Feature’, ‘Dammit Janet‘ and, of course, the timeless floor-filler, ‘Time Warp’.

The hugely talented cast will be bringing their biggest party yet to Cork audiences. Brad will be played by Connor Carson, Janet by Lauren Chia, Riff Raff by Job Greuter and Magenta /Usherette by Natasha Hoeberigs. Columbia will be played by Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli, Rocky by Morgan Jackson and Eddie /Dr Scott by Edward Bullingham.

Completing the cast are Phantoms Ryan Carter-Wilson, Arthur Janes, Hollie Nelson, Erica Wild with on-stage swing Alex Hetherington and on-stage swing/dance captain Stacey Monahan.
