Recruitment agency opens office in Shandon
An international staffing and recruitment agency will officially open its first life science office in Cork on Shandon Street today.
Wallace Myers International’s new office, which is located in the city centre, is the first to be opened in Munster and aims to serve the growing demand for life science engineers in Ireland.
The company’s expansion in Ireland comes at a time of significant growth in the country’s life science industry, an industry that currently employs more than 50,000 people.
The new office will be headed up by Cork native Karen Griffin who is a vastly experienced life science recruitment specialist and has spent a number of years working in the industry.
Ms Griffin said: “Over the last seven years I have witnessed a significant increase in the number of professionals in Ireland moving into the life science industry.”

The Cork office is the second Irish office for Wallace Myers International which also has offices in Dublin and Prague.
